Job Description

About the Role

The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. This position provides scheduling, planning, and coordination activities for maintenance work in the Asset Data Management section, aiming to improve workforce productivity, time management, and work quality by coordinating manpower, parts, materials, and equipment access, as well as maintaining computer records for analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing scheduling, planning, and coordination activities for maintenance work in the Asset Data Management section.
  • Improving work force productivity, time management, and work quality by anticipating and eliminating delays through planning and coordination of manpower, parts, materials, and equipment access.
  • Coordinating activities between facilities and maintenance trades.
  • Maintaining computer records/files for analysis and reporting of work results.
  • Making recommendations regarding layout, design, and building systems.

Requirements

  • Ability to research, analyze, and assess ongoing program operations and recommend modifications to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods of research, operational analysis, and cost analysis.
  • Ability to formulate plans, procedures, and controls in a program or service area.
  • Use and maintain computer databases to record and analyze data on program and service activities.
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
  • Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification, or three years as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification, or two years as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification, or two years as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification, or one year as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with maintaining computer records/files for analysis and reporting.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities between different trades.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent for the Departmental Trainee 9 position.
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major for other levels.
  • Additional experience requirements vary by level, from no specific experience needed at the Departmental Analyst 9 level to three years of professional experience at the Departmental Analyst 12 level.
