About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project/program sponsors, cross-functional teams, and affiliated project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Track project milestones and deliverables.
• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
• Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Refine best practices and tools for project execution and management, including updating and creating documentation.
• Leverage experience to mentor other project department team members.
• Negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members, contractors, and other project management team; influence them to take positive action and accountability for their work.

Requirements

• 8+ years of related IT project management experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Computer Science, or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a large-scale manufacturing organization is preferred.
• Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Smartsheets.
• PMP certification is strongly preferred.
• 12+ years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including process development and execution.
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Nice to Have

• PgMP certification is an asset but not required.
• Customer service skills are an asset.
