About the Role

The Digital Communications Student Assistant is responsible for testing and monitoring the new website chatbot tool aimed at enhancing customer service. This position is also responsible for publishing digital communications, such as press releases and events, assisting with routine quality assurance tasks on EGLE's public websites, and other outreach projects as assigned. The role supports the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy's mission to protect Michigan's environment and public health by managing air, water, land, and energy resources.

Key Responsibilities

Testing and monitoring the new website chatbot tool to enhance customer service.
Publishing digital communications, such as press releases and events.
Assisting with routine quality assurance tasks on EGLE's public websites.
Supporting other outreach projects as assigned.

Requirements

Current enrollment in high school, vocational or technical school, or post-secondary educational institution.
Provide evidence of enrollment or acceptance to an educational institution.
Experience is not specifically required.

Nice to Have

Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program majoring in Digital Communications, Digital Marketing, Web Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Trade school or entry-level educational background.
