Digital Content Intern - Media Curation

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Creating digital assets from physical media
• Ingesting physical image assets into digital libraries and preparing physical assets for long-term storage
• Authoring processes and workflows for digital asset creation and management and identifying areas for improvement
• Creating assets for multiple platforms, including internal and external web properties, social media, and digital signage; and creating assets for districts and departments utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Express, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Premiere Pro, and other content management tools as needed
• Organizing existing assets so they can be managed efficiently and to ensure consistency in use of logo/branding utilizing Adobe Bridge, standard naming and filing conventions, and other tools
• Utilizing Digital Content ticketing system for tracking, content creation, and workflow management
• Attending meetings and trainings as directed by Cal Water
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Full-time student in a 4-year program, working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in graphic design, digital media, or similar field and/or equivalent
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Able to plan, organize, prioritize, and multitask
• Valid California Driver License

Nice to Have

• Full-time student in library/information science program preferred
