About the Role

The Digital Content Specialist (DCS) assists in the development and deployment of market-critical, innovative digital learning content in various Elsevier/NHE products such as Sherpath courseware and Elsevier Adaptive Quizzing. This role involves managing digital projects from inception to release, coordinating with internal and external partners, and ensuring quality and timely delivery of digital content.

Key Responsibilities

Plans digital content development and delivery cadence.
Participates in stand-up meetings with internal and external content development partners.
Ensures lead and peer review SMEs deliver work products per schedule.
Identifies potential issues with SMEs and works with the Digital Content Manager to find alternative approaches to mitigate risks.
Manages and consolidates reviews from SMEs and outsourced vendors to ensure quality and on-time content delivery.
Performs high-level review of all stages of outlines, assessments, and content storyboards and coordinates detailed review with partners.
Coordinates with other participants and/or drives permission and art research as needed.
Coordinates classification mapping, EAQ, and ancillary mapping tasks with internal and external resources.
Oversees delivery of build content, UAT fixes, and ensures gold delivery of assigned course products.
Plays a key role in ensuring on-time delivery of digital content projects.

Requirements

Have a B.A./B.S. in English or related area.
Have two or more years' experience with digital content development.
Demonstrate experience with media such as online courses and multimedia.
Be a self-starter with strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Possess a flexible and creative approach to problem solving.
Be resourceful and decisive, with attention to detail.
Be able to work independently and manage several complex projects simultaneously.
Have knowledge of publishing processes and MS Office.
Some familiarity with EPUB, HTML5, HTML, and XML.

Nice to Have

Experience with authoring tools and digital content workflows.
Experience managing digital projects in an educational or healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Educational background with a B.A./B.S. in English or related field.
