About the Role

The Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist at AGS Company Automotive Solutions is responsible for leading the company's digital marketing and social media strategy. The role involves creating engaging content, managing campaigns, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating across teams to promote the brand and support business objectives. The position is based on-site at Muskegon, MI, and requires a creative, analytical individual passionate about storytelling and digital innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a cohesive digital marketing strategy across social media platforms and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and E-commerce teams to align messaging, promotions, and timing with business objectives.
  • Serve as the internal advocate for social media best practices and train team members as needed.
  • Work with external agencies or freelancers when appropriate to scale campaign or content efforts.
  • Own and manage the digital content calendar, planning, writing, and scheduling posts across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others.
  • Create compelling, on-brand copy for social media that tells a story, drives engagement, and reinforces AGS' voice and values.
  • Design and execute email campaigns focused on customer engagement, retention, and sales growth.
  • Plan and oversee photoshoots or video sessions to capture product and brand lifestyle content.
  • Tell the story of AGS's people and culture by creating authentic content that highlights team members, events, meetings, and day-to-day life at the company.
  • Capture photos, videos, and interviews that showcase the values, energy, and personality of AGS.
  • Maintain and organize a digital content library for use across platforms and departments.
  • Monitor analytics and performance metrics, using insights to optimize campaigns and content strategies.
  • Conduct regular audits of social media channels and email performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • A/B test creative content, messaging, and calls-to-action to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Track key performance metrics and share insights with the team to guide ongoing improvements.
  • Stay updated with the latest social platform features and industry trends to keep AGS at the forefront of digital innovation.
  • Engage directly with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Monitor brand sentiment and customer feedback across digital channels to inform future content.
  • Build relationships with influencers or brand partners that align with AGS's values and industry.
  • Work cross-functionally with E-commerce, Sales, Product, People Experiences, and Leadership teams to embed brand consistency and digital strategy into content development and campaign execution.
  • Promote a culture of open communication, continuous learning, and shared responsibility for quality.
  • Participate in team building, training, and company-wide initiatives to strengthen engagement and performance.
  • Model AGS values in day-to-day interactions and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, or social media management.
  • Proficient in creative tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) or similar.
  • Strong understanding of key social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) and best practices.
  • Experience using marketing platforms like Hootsuite, Later, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar for scheduling and automation.
  • Familiar with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, platform insights) and basic reporting.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills; ability to craft on-brand, engaging content.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, tasks, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Comfortable taking initiative and working both independently and within a small, collaborative team.
  • Understanding of or interest in the automotive, DIY, or manufacturing industry is a strong plus.
  • Basic understanding of SEO, paid social, or email segmentation is a plus.

Qualifications
