Digital Marketing Director

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the digital marketing strategy across paid, owned, and earned media channels to support brand growth and ecommerce sales.
• Lead and manage a team of three direct reports: Social Media Manager, Content Designer, and Marketing Technologist.
• Ensure cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Ecommerce, Sales, and IT.
• Lead the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of paid digital media campaigns including Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, display & programmatic advertising, and influencer partnerships.
• Partner with Brand, Licensing, Digital Commerce, and external agencies to align creative and targeting strategies, ensure campaign agility, and track KPIs such as awareness, engagement, ROAS, CPA, and revenue lift.
• Manage content strategy and execution for owned channels, including website updates, UX, SEO, and potential future email marketing and lifecycle campaigns.
• Guide the team in maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity across digital channels.
• Oversee social and community engagement strategies, including influencer and user-generated content, and support PR amplification efforts.
• Define KPIs and reporting frameworks, drive continuous improvement through A/B testing, audience segmentation, and conversion analysis, and prepare dashboards for leadership review.

Requirements

• Proven experience in digital marketing strategy, campaign execution, and team leadership.
• Track record of managing performance-based media, content initiatives, and digital channel optimization.
• Proficient in interpreting digital marketing data to make informed decisions.
• Experience in people management, mentoring, and performance coaching.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce dynamics, shopper journeys, and brand positioning.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in digital marketing roles, including at least 5 years of management experience.
• Experience in the CPG or food & beverage industry highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Amazon Ads, Klaviyo, Salsify, and Shopify.
• Deep understanding of digital channel mix and consumer behavior across platforms.
• Skilled in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficient with reporting dashboards, marketing automation, and campaign management tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with limited layers.

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools such as Shopify, Workfront, or other marketing operations platforms.
• Understanding of A+ content creation or digital merchandising best practices.
• Experience in digital content creation and digital storytelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in digital marketing roles, including at least 5 years of management experience.
