The Digital Marketing Specialist supports client success by planning, creating, and publishing social media content; monitoring and responding to reviews to support reputation management; assisting with email marketing; and building light email automations. This is a part-time, hands-on role with real ownership of day-to-day execution and reporting, with potential to grow into a full-time position within the first year.

Key Responsibilities

Build creative, on-brand social content (copy + light graphics) for Rich Ideas and client accounts.
Prepare monthly content calendars with recommendations and post rationale.
Schedule content across platforms using designated tools (e.g., Sprout Social).
Assist with client email newsletters (layout, copy, basic segmentation, send).
Set up and maintain light email automations (welcome series, lead-nurture, re-engagement), including triggers/logic, delays, and simple A/B tests (subject lines, send times, content) in tools like Mailchimp, Service Titan, Constant Contact and more.
Tag links with UTMs and report on performance.
Monitor and respond to reviews across Google, Yelp, Facebook, BBB, and industry-specific platforms using approved templates/tone.
Surface insights and recommend action items to improve ratings and customer experience.
Track engagement, reach, audience growth, and campaign performance; maintain dashboards and provide clear monthly summaries.
Suggest next steps based on data (optimize creatives, timing, targeting, or cadence).
Work with Account Managers to review/refine content and ensure brand alignment.
Stay ahead of deadlines and deliver error-free work.
Participate in team meetings and trainings as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field or equivalent experience.
1-2 years of hands-on social media and/or email marketing experience (agency or in-house).
Working knowledge of the marketing/advertising ecosystem and content best practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and major social platforms.
Reliable internet and ability to attend occasional in-person meetings (local travel as needed).

Nice to Have

Experience with Mailchimp, ServiceTitan, and Constant Contact (including automations).
Canva proficiency and/or basic Adobe skills.
Familiarity with GA4, link tracking, and simple dashboards.
Experience in a marketing/advertising agency setting.
Experience working with the Home Services Industry.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field or equivalent experience.
1-2 years of hands-on social media and/or email marketing experience.
