About the Role

The Digital Product Manager - Business Banking role at BMO involves developing and delivering the full product development lifecycle, from setting strategic objectives to bringing products to market that deliver business value. Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and delivers the full product development lifecycle from setting strategic objectives to product launch and retirement.
  • Researches, investigates, selects, and develops products and services bridging business requirements with technology capabilities.
  • Drives end-to-end product lifecycle including defining the 'why', 'when', and 'what' of the product, persona development, proof of concepts, backlog management, and product activation.
  • Identifies the overall goal of products, drives stakeholder engagement, and leads product adoption.
  • Defines and prioritizes customer experience to focus on what matters most to customers.
  • Ensures product management and development teams work effectively and efficiently in parallel.
  • Builds and maintains high-performing cross-functional teams, monitors performance, and addresses issues.
  • Addresses blockers related to product adoption, including communications, documentation, and training.
  • Establishes go-to-market, pricing, and positioning strategies.
  • Plans and manages the budget, timeline, and tactical components throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Analyzes market trends to improve product usability.
  • Ensures new products or features are desirable, viable, and functional.
  • Provides specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works independently and handles non-routine situations.

Requirements

  • Foundational proficiency in marketing analysis and creative thinking.
  • Intermediate proficiency in process improvement, business strategy, research, business operations, financial and risk management, product management, learning agility, customer centricity, communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills, influence skills, and data-driven decision making.
  • Advanced proficiency in product development, go-to-market asset definition and design, technology business requirements analysis and mapping, and product lifecycle management using Agile methodologies.
  • Typically 5-7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
  • Strong technical proficiency and understanding of technology business requirements.
  • Experience in business banking or financial services industry.

Qualifications

  • Typically between 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
