About the Role

The Digital Product Owner Intern at Ameriprise Financial is a 10-week summer internship providing real-life experience in a collaborative and inclusive environment. Interns will gain exposure to leaders, develop business knowledge, work on impactful projects, and network within a welcoming atmosphere. The internship offers opportunities for personal and professional growth within a flexible work environment, emphasizing meaningful work in a Fortune 500 company within the Financial Services industry. The role involves supporting the Digital Experience team that creates powerful digital products and experiences to enhance client-advisor relationships and help clients reach their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

Work with a variety of technology and digital experiences to drive business results across websites and client mobile apps.
Create the strategy for digital experiences while collaborating with a digital product team to deliver new or enhanced digital experiences for clients.
Build skills in areas such as digital product strategy and execution, consumer-facing mobile apps, digital analytics, user experience (UX) research and strategy, and agile product development.
Support the development of internal reporting capabilities.
Build and review content for internal websites.
Provide analysis on advisor-facing programs, assess their success, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Review existing assets and provide recommendations for internal learning pathways.

Requirements

Current Junior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Project Management, Entrepreneurial Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems, or related field.
Graduation date of December 2026 or May/June 2027.
High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics.
Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with others.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
A passion for and strong interest in engaging digital experiences, including consumer-facing websites and mobile apps.

Nice to Have

Experience or interest in digital marketing or digital product development.
Knowledge of digital analytics tools.
Experience working in agile development environments.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled as a Junior in a 4-year university.
Expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027.
