About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive organic and paid social media strategies to amplify Gecko's brand presence and engagement on platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Research and understand target audiences to tailor marketing efforts effectively.
• Maintain a consistent pipeline of thought leadership on social platforms, including routine LinkedIn newsletters.
• Analyze social media performance metrics and apply insights to optimize content strategies and drive audience engagement.
• Create monthly social media calendars aligned with key business development, recruitment, sales, marketing, and communications initiatives.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging social media platforms to ensure Gecko remains at the cutting edge of digital engagement.
• Plan, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns, including Google Ads and LinkedIn advertising.
• Monitor and provide reporting on Google Analytics and other platforms for website traffic, organic performance, and other relevant data to identify areas for optimization and offer actionable recommendations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in social media management with a proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns across a range of platforms.
• Basic proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and a knack for storytelling.
• Experience analyzing website traffic, campaign performance, and other relevant data to identify areas for improvement.
• Deep understanding of performance marketing, retargeting strategies, and audience segmentation.
• Familiarity with analytics tools to derive insights and track social media and website performance.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience in the tech or start-up environment is advantageous.
• Basic design experience and comfort with platforms such as Canva.
• Experience using email marketing platforms with proficiency in HTML/CSS for design and data analysis.
