About the Role

The Digital Sales Strategist at TEGNA Inc. will assist and strategize with key members of the sales staff, including Account Executives, Account Managers, and sales leaders, to build digital solutions by leveraging ad-serving interfaces and operational platforms. The primary responsibility is to ensure campaign success through pre-sales order entry, management, and optimization of Digital Media campaigns to ensure launch and successful delivery. TEGNA Inc. helps people thrive in their local communities by providing trusted local news and services across multiple platforms, reaching over 100 million people monthly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently prospect for new revenue opportunities using client and category insights.
  • Upsell current clients by engaging them in the full product line of WFAA-TV Dallas offerings.
  • Create custom solutions-driven campaigns that meet client needs across multiple media platforms including broadcast, digital, and Streaming (OTT).
  • Seek opportunities to expand relationships with key clients by understanding their business needs and competitive landscape.
  • Establish strong relationships with internal team members by providing the Account Management team with clear and concise direction for the successful execution of campaigns.
  • Partner with your Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment.
  • Strategically utilize Matrix and station CRM to manage day-to-day activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
  • Represent the media group positively and professionally at community events and with surrounding businesses.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of digital marketing sales support, inside or outside sales experience.
  • Expert knowledge of all facets of digital sales and marketing, including OTT and targeted display.
  • Adept at creating new revenue opportunities from synergies between interactive sales and other mediums.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM software.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with internal and external customers and partners.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Self-motivation and a strong work ethic.

Nice to Have

  • Google AdWords and Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) certifications highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Experience in digital marketing sales support, inside or outside sales.
