About the Role

The Director, Digital Platforms Agency at Spectrum is responsible for leading a matrixed team of Product Managers, Program Managers, and Program Delivery Managers to streamline design operations across multiple organizations. The role involves managing operational frameworks, guiding teams in delivering innovative digital products, establishing metrics for team health and program success, and fostering continuous improvement to enhance customer experiences in the digital telecommunications industry.

Key Responsibilities

Lead an innovative and collaborative team to produce exceptional digital products that enhance the customer experience.
Lead development of new products, technologies, and initiatives.
Establish and monitor performance targets for management.
Provide mentorship for team growth and advancement; lead and participate in succession planning.
Review selections on bids for contracted projects and provide recommendations; oversee capital budget process and execute approved budget plan.
Ensure the performance and quality of all software supporting the design operations team and the accuracy of reporting.
Build and refine cross-functional teams to efficiently deliver outcomes and resolve technical debt.
Align team to departmental defaults such as instrumentation, universal design, brand, and experience consistency, while advocating for beneficial deviations.
Develop processes for cross-functional skills development within the team.
Uphold team operating rhythm to enable data-driven iterative improvement.
Develop and operationalize a communication plan for internal and external alignment.
Create routine communications for executive leadership regarding roadmap delivery, platform/feature quality, and team performance.
Be a thought leader for agile practices across Design and Research, promoting efficiency and consistency.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years of technical and/or product management experience.
8+ years of experience leading complex projects.
5+ years of team (direct staff) leadership.
2+ years of budget management experience.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Advanced cognitive, analytical, and communication skills.
Effective problem resolution techniques and solutions-oriented mindset.
Advanced business acumen with a sense of urgency to achieve results.
Expertise in product and outcome focus, with a willingness to learn and attention to detail.
Ability to make decisions, solve problems under pressure, prioritize, and organize effectively.
Experience developing, communicating, and implementing strategies, analyzing data, and motivating cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

Master's degree and/or equivalent professional experience.
Experience working closely with UX Research, Design, or Product.
Industry experience in Cable, Telecommunications, Software/Online Services.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years of relevant experience in technical or product management.
Experience leading complex projects and teams.
