About the Role

Robert Bosch is hiring a Packaging Designer in Charleston, SC. As a Packaging Designer, you will develop and optimize packaging concepts and materials for raw materials and finished goods across the supply chain. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to improve ergonomics, product density, and standardization. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the packaging design team within the physical logistics department
Develop packaging concepts for raw materials, finished goods, and internal processes
Design returnable and one-way packaging for safe product handling and transport
Optimize existing packaging to enhance ergonomics and product density
Coordinate packaging implementation with internal departments and external suppliers
Align packaging designs with usability, logistics, and technical specifications
Support sourcing processes by preparing packaging documentation
Release tool purchases required for packaging production
Streamline internal packaging processes to reduce variety and support standardization

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
Experience using Siemens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar design software (mandatory)
Experience working with MS Office tools, IT platforms, and web-based portals
Familiarity with various packaging materials
English language proficiency (C1 level)
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
Proactive with a mindset for improvement and growth
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Effective in cross-functional teams and international collaboration
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
Reliable, structured, and team-focused

Nice to Have

SAP knowledge
German or Spanish language skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
