We're here for it. We think you should be too. We're looking for a driven professional with an inclusive mindset to join our team as a Director, Architecture - Marketing Technology. This position is fully remote. This role is an individual contributor/people leader position. The individual will drive the overall strategy, design, and implementation of our marketing technology ecosystem, acting as a bridge between CRM, Marketing, Technology, and business leaders to ensure a scalable, integrated, secure, and aligned technology stack that supports personalized customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the long-term strategic architectural vision for the company's marketing technology stack.
  • Identify new technologies and trends, advising on how to evolve the ecosystem to remain competitive.
  • Design and implement a scalable and secure MarTech architecture that integrates with existing business systems.
  • Define technical standards and best practices for the selection and use of marketing technologies in collaboration with other architects.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of marketing platforms including Customer Data Platforms, Orchestration Engines, Personalization Engines, Content Management Systems, Digital Asset Management, and Analytics tools.
  • Act as a key liaison between marketing, technology, sales, and data/analytics teams, translating business needs into architectural initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement by staying abreast of emerging architectural trends, supporting evolving standards, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimize marketing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in designing and managing a complex, enterprise-level MarTech stack that delivers measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience with identifying and managing architectural risks, technical debt, and interdependencies, including mitigation strategies.
  • Experience defining enterprise technology strategy, including designing, prototyping, testing, training, support procedures, and practical business solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the MarTech landscape and key platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of data integration, APIs, and data governance in a marketing context.
  • Ability to architect and document complex solutions that integrate diverse systems and technologies.
  • Proficiency in software development methodologies such as Agile and DevOps.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing strategies, customer journeys, personalized experiences, and campaign execution.
  • Deep understanding of the enterprise's business strategy and operations, with the ability to align architecture with business goals.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture or equivalent technical fields.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in management roles overseeing engineering or architecture teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with leading significant initiatives in a large enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with current trends in marketing technology and architecture.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture.
  • 5+ years in management roles overseeing engineering or architecture teams.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range from $175,000 to $220,000 annually, adjusted as needed to comply with applicable law.
  • Potential eligibility for bonuses, sales incentives, and long-term incentives.
