About the Role

The Director, Commercial Performance Analytics & Insights role at Pfizer involves working within the Global Commercial Analytics team to harness data for strategic insights that inform critical business decisions. The role requires collaboration with senior stakeholders, standardization of reporting processes, and driving performance tracking and reporting to support Pfizer's commercial objectives. The team is diverse, dynamic, and focused on turning data into meaningful insights that impact patient lives and Pfizer's data-driven future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide thought partnership in building and standardizing the commercial reporting eco-system.
  • Act as a strategic partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to organization-wide performance reporting, including executive reporting.
  • Lead identification of information needs and develop project plans to address those needs.
  • Develop and execute creation of in-house datasets to drive patient and HCP insights into infrastructure of care.
  • Connect reporting insights to tell compelling stories and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Align with other GCA teams to ensure cohesive activities with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the advancement of capabilities through thought leadership and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead dialogue to adapt global strategies and standardize performance metrics and tracking.
  • Partner with other analytic functions to utilize novel data sources and reporting techniques, including RWD and Data Science.
  • Assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process.
  • Lead teams through complex, cross-functional projects, prioritizing demands and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Act as a strategic partner to establish trust and credibility with senior leadership.
  • Identify, prioritize, and describe relevant caveats and uncertainties in data related to business questions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, or related areas.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in a quantitative discipline.
  • Strong analytical, coding (Python, R, SQL), and MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in designing and managing secondary data analytics and innovative techniques for complex data sets.
  • Ability to assess vendor capabilities and manage analytic risks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments and ability to influence without authority.
  • Business/Financial acumen and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with real-world data (RWD) and data science techniques.
  • Knowledge of market research methodologies.
  • Experience in biopharma or related industries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in a quantitative discipline.
  • 8+ years' experience in relevant fields.
  • Demonstrated success in analytics, statistics, and database knowledge.

  • Annual base salary ranging from $156,600 to $261,000.
  • Eligibility for Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a 20% bonus target.
