About the Role

The Director, Commercial Performance Analytics & Insights role at Pfizer is part of the Global Commercial Analytics team, which leverages data to generate analytical insights that inform critical business decisions. The role involves working closely with senior stakeholders in the Chief Marketing Office and other organizations to drive performance tracking, reporting, and standardization of the commercial reporting ecosystem. The team is dynamic, collaborative, and focused on turning data into meaningful insights that impact patient lives and Pfizer's future as a data-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide thought partnership in building and standardizing the commercial reporting eco-system.
  • Act as a strategic partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to organization-wide performance reporting, including executive reporting.
  • Lead identification of information needs and develop project plans to address those needs.
  • Develop and execute creation of in-house datasets to drive patient and HCP insights into infrastructure of care.
  • Connect reporting insights to tell compelling stories and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Align with other GCA teams to ensure cohesive activities with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the advancement of capabilities through thought leadership and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead dialogue to adapt global strategies and standardize performance metrics and tracking.
  • Partner with other analytic functions to utilize novel data sources and reporting methods, including RWD and Data Science.
  • Assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process.
  • Lead teams through complex, cross-functional projects, prioritizing demands and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Act as a strategic partner to establish trust and credibility with senior leadership.
  • Identify, prioritize, and describe relevant data caveats and uncertainties related to business questions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, or related areas.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in a quantitative discipline.
  • Strong analytical and coding skills (Python, R, SQL), along with MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Experience in designing and managing secondary data analytics and market research methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments and ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Business and financial acumen with the ability to identify trends and opportunities from data.
  • Ability to connect, synthesize, and communicate complex analysis into strategic recommendations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with innovative techniques to monitor, simulate, and analyze complex data sets.
  • Ability to assess and manage vendor technical capabilities and risks.
  • Experience with real-world data (RWD) and data science applications.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years' experience in biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's in a quantitative discipline preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Annual base salary ranging from $156,600 to $261,000.
  • Participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20%.
