About the Role

The Director, Commercial Performance Analytics & Insights at Pfizer is responsible for driving strategic performance tracking and reporting within the Global Commercial Analytics team. This role involves collaborating with senior stakeholders, standardizing the commercial reporting ecosystem, and leading innovative analytics initiatives to inform business decisions and improve commercial outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide thought partnership in building and standardizing the commercial reporting eco-system.
  • Act as a strategic partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to organization-wide performance reporting, including executive reporting.
  • Lead identification of information needs and develop project plans to address those needs.
  • Develop and execute creation of in-house datasets to drive patient and HCP insights into infrastructure of care.
  • Connect reporting insights to tell compelling stories and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Align with other GCA teams to ensure cohesive activities with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the advancement of capabilities through thought leadership and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead dialogue to adapt global strategies and standardize performance metrics and tracking.
  • Partner with other analytic functions to utilize novel data sources and reporting techniques, including RWD and Data Science.
  • Assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process.
  • Lead teams through complex, cross-functional projects, prioritizing demands and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Act as a strategic partner, establishing trust and credibility with senior leadership.
  • Identify, prioritize, and describe relevant caveats and uncertainties in data related to business questions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, business, or related area.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in a quantitative discipline.
  • Strong analytical, coding skills (such as Python, R, SQL), and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in designing and managing secondary data analytics and market research methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments and ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business and financial acumen, with the ability to identify trends and opportunities from data.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with innovative techniques to monitor, simulate, and analyze complex data sets.
  • Ability to assess and manage vendor technical capabilities and risks.
  • Experience with real-world data (RWD) and data science applications.
  • Leadership experience in developing and coaching teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's in a quantitative discipline preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in biopharma, analytics, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and platforms, including Python, R, SQL.
  • Strong understanding of market research methodologies and secondary data analytics.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Benefits & Perks

  • Annual base salary ranging from $156,600 to $261,000.
  • Participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20% of base salary.
  • Eligibility for share-based long-term incentive programs.
  • Comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with matching contributions, retirement savings, paid vacation, holidays, personal days, caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health coverage (medical, dental, vision).
  • Work location flexibility with 2-3 days onsite per week.
