About the Role

The Director, Data Analytics ACO is a remote role responsible for database and analytic integrity for the Sound Long Term Care Management (SLTCM) ACOs and Telemedicine. The position involves analyzing and interpreting operational performance data, creating reports and benchmarks to support strategic objectives, and leading a team of Data Analysts. The role collaborates with health systems, clinicians, internal departments, and third-party vendors, and partners with Sound IT to develop and maintain the data and analytics ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the data and analytics team including project tracking and delegating tasks to Data Analysts focused on complex data gathering and analytic projects
Partner with Sound IT to develop and maintain an enterprise data solution and analytic platform
Validate and maintain the integrity of ACO and Telemedicine data
Initiate, coordinate, and provide expertise in analytic projects through collaboration with stakeholders
Analyze, interpret, and understand data to support business cases focusing on operational performance with quality and performance metrics
Partner with third-party vendors to load and collect data from various data sources
Generate timely reports using internal tools and third-party software to provide statistical evidence and performance tracking

Requirements

BA/BS degree in a related field
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Intermediate knowledge of Azure cloud (SQL, Python, PySpark, DataBricks, Synapse, Lake Houses, Power BI)
Ability to analyze data, recognize errors, and develop executive summaries based on interpretive findings
Advanced reasoning skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and manage resolutions
Demonstrated ability to execute analytical thought processes
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong quantitative analysis, root cause analysis, logical structuring, and business case development skills
Experience working with CMS Claim and Claim Line Feed (CCLF) data
Knowledge of MSSP ACOs and value-based performance programs
Experience stitching together data from disparate sources
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data stacks
Experience designing scalable analytic solutions with reusable code
Proven ability to train and lead staff and influence peers

Nice to Have

Knowledge of CMS Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) ACO program
Experience with Master Data Management and product documentation

Qualifications

7-9 years of experience in healthcare data and analytics
1-3 years in a leadership role
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering (preferred)
