Job Description

About the Role

At Chime, we are building a member-first financial experience that empowers millions of people to achieve financial progress. Analytics and data are central to understanding our members, refining our products, and driving strategic business decisions. We are looking for a strategic and impact-driven Director to lead Chime's Growth Product Analytics team. Reporting to the Vice President of Analytics, you'll be a core leader shaping the strategy and execution of growth product analytics. This high-visibility role will directly influence how we acquire, convert, and retain our members. You'll oversee teams supporting Growth Product Analytics, with responsibility for driving performance measurement, experimentation, and data-driven insights. You'll partner closely with Growth, Product, Engineering, and Marketing leadership to inform decision-making at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of high-performing analysts and managers across Growth Product Analytics.
  • Serve in an experimentation leadership role within Chime, applying expertise in A/B testing to mentor analysts and product managers and grow an experimentation culture.
  • Guide experimentation strategy and implementation across the member growth funnel—from landing page to sign-up to early engagement to retention.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Growth Marketing, Product, and Engineering to shape growth roadmaps and optimize member acquisition and activation.
  • Translate complex data into compelling, actionable narratives for senior leadership including the Chief Data Officer and executives across Chime.
  • Establish performance metrics and refine dashboards that provide clear visibility into business and campaign performance.
  • Help shape the overall Analytics strategy and culture as a senior leader within the broader Analytics organization.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in analytics, with at least 5 years in a people leadership role managing managers and/or senior individual contributors.
  • Deep expertise in growth analytics coupled with a bias toward action.
  • Strong fluency in experimental design and statistical methods; comfort with SQL and modern analytics tools (e.g., dbt, Looker, Python/R).
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners and influence without authority in a high-growth environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including executive-level storytelling and data visualization.
  • Experience scaling and mentoring analytics teams with a focus on growth, analytical rigor, innovation, and impact.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail.
  • Passion for Chime's mission to make financial progress accessible to all.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a high-growth fintech or technology environment.
  • Familiarity with experimentation and growth strategies in digital products.

Qualifications

  • Educational background or certifications are not explicitly specified in the description.

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Bonus and equity package
  • 401k match
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits
  • Generous vacation policy and company-wide paid days off
  • Up to 24 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents
  • Annual wellness stipend
  • Support for local community organizations
  • In-office perks including backup child, elder, and pet care, and subsidized commuter benefit
  • In-person and virtual team events
  • Flexible work policy with four days in-office and Fridays from home
