Key Responsibilities

  • Define the team's analytics strategy in partnership with leadership across the organization, including tools, methodologies, staff mix, and project priorities.
  • Develop and implement best practices to support data and analytics projects, ensuring consistency and standardization of data usage and analytics practices.
  • Drive business stakeholder buy-in for data consumption, operationally and analytically.
  • Recruit, train, coach, develop, and retain staff to build bench strength and motivate high performers.
  • Oversee the construction of predictive models, data pipelines, and analytics workflows to support operational and analytics objectives, contributing to their development as needed.
  • Work with partners to translate business needs into technical plans, identify available data, communicate findings, and develop implementation strategies.
  • Provide consulting support to ensure conformance to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify internal and external data sources, construct analytical databases, and develop data pipelines to enhance business performance.
  • Discuss data transformation, integration, and reporting requirements with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Mentor and train team members on statistical methods, tools, and data asset development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, or Statistics preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, BI Analyst, or Data Scientist.
  • Proven ability to develop, coach, and lead technical staff.
  • Deep experience with analytics programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python.
  • Deep experience with modern BI tools like Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, or equivalent.
  • In-depth understanding of data profiling, statistical analysis, and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience extracting, loading, and leveraging data in data warehouses, transactional databases, object stores, and API environments.
  • Good understanding of data architecture principles and infrastructure requirements across on-prem and cloud platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving, programming, and project management skills.
  • Excellent ability to interpret complex information, decompose analytical and technical problems, and present simple business solutions.
  • Ability to think conceptually, handle ambiguity, and make thoughtful recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills working with all levels of corporate and external contacts.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with emerging analysis methods and data tooling.
  • Experience in transforming business processes and customer experience through analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (required).
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, or Statistics (preferred).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, BI analysis, or data science.

  • Competitive salary range of $109,100.00-$224,000.00 based on skill, location, and experience.
