Director, Marketing AI Strategy

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall AI innovation strategy for the marketing organization, aligning initiatives with business objectives and a three-year growth plan.
• Lead and mentor a team of 5 marketing AI specialists, fostering a culture of experimentation and operational excellence.
• Oversee delivery of AI solutions across portfolios including content & knowledge management, revenue & growth optimization, and customer experience orchestration.
• Partner with marketing strategy and operations leaders to identify high-impact AI opportunities and ensure seamless integration into existing technology stacks.
• Establish governance and prioritization frameworks for AI initiatives and promote AI fluency and adoption across the marketing organization.
• Act as the primary interface with the central Okta AI Hub, ensuring adherence to AI policies, security, and governance standards.
• Define KPIs and report on the business value delivered through AI initiatives, focusing on productivity, efficiency, revenue impact, and content quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and scaling technology, data, or product-focused teams within marketing or sales operations.
• Strong understanding of B2B SaaS demand generation and ability to identify AI applications that drive business growth.
• Technical fluency in modern AI concepts such as large language models (LLMs), agentic AI, and intelligent automation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Belief in a 'Human + AI' philosophy, emphasizing AI as an augmentative tool rather than a replacement.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI solutions in a marketing or SaaS environment.
• Knowledge of AI security, governance, and ethical considerations.
• Previous leadership experience in a high-growth technology company.

Qualifications
