About the Role

The Director, Strategy will play an important role in executing high-value client and prospect strategic plans across marketing and digital strategy, and will also play a leadership role in continuing to shape the company's fast-growing strategy department. This position requires a strong background in marketing and digital strategy and an ability to think creatively about ideal client business and marketing outcomes, tying action plans to goals and anticipated results. The role involves building integrated marketing programs involving multiple channels such as brand, paid, MOPs, content, SEO, earned media, and supporting agency initiatives for reporting and strategic planning for large accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service delivery leadership and execution for integrated marketing strategy projects and programs, including review of client business goals and analysis of earned, owned, and paid marketing channels to create and present integrated marketing plans.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies by reviewing client business goals for products, audiences, or market expansion, analyzing multiple channels, and creating specific marketing strategies including approach, key messages, channels, KPIs, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on marketing and competitive analysis, distilling key trends and insights from various channels and aligning strategies to integrate multiple channels.
  • Lead marketing planning for high-value agency accounts, including strategy, direction, and reporting for internal teams across paid, earned, and owned media, ensuring successful execution and optimization.
  • Support integrated program building for agency sales by participating in prospect and client discovery calls, focusing on client outcomes and creating recommended plans.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, leading the creation of quarterly and annual reports and planning sessions.
  • Support department growth by assisting in process documentation, services refinement, and department operations buildout.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on building and executing strategic marketing plans.
  • Ability to effectively build digital marketing strategies involving multiple digital channels based on desired client outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in remote and in-person team environments.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple projects with specific deadlines.
  • Positive attitude in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Passion and curiosity for shifting marketing trends.
  • Digital domain expertise in MOPs, paid, SEO, or other digital channels.
  • Agency experience, especially in B2B, is a strong plus.
