About the Role

The Director of Marketing Strategy & Account Management is a key member of the Integrated Marketing and Demand Generation team at Emory Healthcare. This role is responsible for leading the strategic marketing planning process across service lines, hospitals, programs, and institutional priorities. Reporting to the Vice President of Integrated Marketing and Demand Generation, the director will oversee a team of Marketing Account Managers and Coordinators, serving as a marketing partner and internal consultant to clinical and business stakeholders. The position involves developing and executing integrated, data-informed marketing plans focused on patient acquisition, retention, and loyalty, with a need for strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic, integrated marketing plans for service lines, hospitals, programs, and enterprise-level initiatives.
  • Align marketing strategies with Emory Healthcare's business goals, mission, and brand promise.
  • Develop audience segmentation, personas, and journey mapping to guide content, messaging, and campaign development.
  • Manage a team of Marketing Account Managers and Senior Marketing Account Managers, ensuring high-impact strategy delivery.
  • Serve as the strategic point of contact for clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders, offering marketing counsel and partnership.
  • Partner with content, digital, and performance marketing teams to guide campaign development and optimization across various media.
  • Support business development and referral marketing initiatives through targeted B2B campaigns.
  • Utilize insights from analytics and market research to inform strategies and assess ROI.
  • Monitor KPIs, marketing funnel performance, and campaign impact, adjusting plans based on results.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Partner with cross-departmental teams to ensure alignment and resource sharing.
  • Coordinate with the VP and other marketing directors on budget planning, resource allocation, and strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, strategy, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience leading cross-functional marketing initiatives and working directly with healthcare stakeholders.
  • Proven success in planning and executing integrated marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with experience developing teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  • Expertise in audience segmentation, persona development, journey mapping, and campaign measurement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation tools, analytics dashboards, and project management platforms; experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Tableau, Google Analytics, or similar is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Background in healthcare, academic medical centers, or large health systems.
  • Experience working within a matrixed organization with complex stakeholder environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred
