Director of Admissions and Marketing

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a strong relationship with Hospital Case Managers, Discharge Planners, Social Workers, area ALFs, Home Health Agencies, Retirement Communities, and Senior Centers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with area Physicians and recruit new Physicians to follow residents in the facility.
• Review and assess prospective residents by evaluating their medical, physical, and psychosocial needs.
• Obtain decisions for admission within a 15-minute guideline using the center's Green-Yellow-Red Light Tool.
• Assist Physicians in completing the company credentialing process if they wish to be a facility attending physician.
• Represent the facility by participating in community functions, events, and fundraisers.

Requirements

• Must possess a thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, mass media, advertising, policies, education, community relations, organization structure, social and activity services, government relations, etc., as they relate to nursing facility operations.
• Must possess the ability to plan, organize, and effectively present ideas and concepts to community groups and agencies.
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Must possess the ability to analyze information from various sources and make recommendations.
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred, but not required.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
• Software knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Nice to Have

• Experience in community relations, marketing, or public relations within healthcare or nursing facilities.
• Experience with credentialing processes for physicians.

• Ability to communicate effectively and organize community outreach.
