About the Role

The Director of Casino Marketing works in partnership with the Vice President of Marketing to develop strategies and programs aimed at achieving key business objectives such as revenue generation, guest experience, acquisition, retention, profitability, and team member engagement. The role involves leading management of Events and Promotions, Entertainment, VIP, Multicultural, and National Casino Marketing, and requires a creative, innovative, and strategic approach to marketing within a casino environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies and programs to achieve success with key business objectives including revenue, guest experience, acquisition, retention, profitability, and team member engagement.
  • Lead management of Events and Promotions, Entertainment, VIP, Multicultural, and National Casino Marketing teams.
  • Analyze competitive and internal financial information to develop plans with measurable results.
  • Coordinate gaming marketing activities with operating departments.
  • Develop and implement annual marketing plans and strategies.
  • Partner with analytics team to forecast targets, analyze performance, and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Ensure event marketing collateral aligns with objectives and branding.
  • Establish guest activation strategies for on and off-site events.
  • Guide creative and reinvestment strategies with Direct Marketing leadership.
  • Design décor and experiences for off-site events in collaboration with PR, Sponsorships, and Community Relations.
  • Analyze customer service scores and recommend improvements.
  • Act as an advocate for the customer and hold managers accountable for performance.
  • Lead strategy creation for headliner and environmental entertainment, VIP, Multicultural, and National Casino Marketing revenue and profit growth.
  • Create VIP guest service and experience objectives to maximize guest service scores and loyalty.
  • Hire, manage, and develop staff for VIP Marketing teams.
  • Develop personal relationships with premium players and manage staff to develop these relationships.
  • Monitor staff productivity and accountability for objectives.
  • Work with hotel yield team to ensure proper VIP segmentation and hotel visitation promotion.
  • Delegate tasks based on employee capabilities and project requirements.
  • Conduct individual meetings with employees to discuss career goals and skill development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing within the gaming industry.
  • Experience assessing business needs and developing strategies.
  • Strong marketing experience with a proven track record of results.
  • Experience leading and managing a successful team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, including persuasive speaking.
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and work in a casino environment.
  • Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment for up to eight hours.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding).
  • Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.

  • Experience working in a casino environment before.
