About the Role

As Director of Content Strategy, you will lead the development and execution of AT&T's digital content and engagement strategy across desktop, mobile web, and app platforms for both consumer and business segments. This role is critical to delivering digital customer growth by shaping and implementing an operating model that streamlines content and messaging across the digital ecosystem, ensuring the right message reaches the right customer at the right time. The position involves leading a high-performing team, collaborating with various departments to optimize the customer journey, and driving innovation in digital storytelling and engagement strategies. The role is based in Dallas, Texas, requiring in-office presence five days a week, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for a cross-functional team of content and engagement experts, driving aligned execution to increase engagement across AT&T's digital properties.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence within the team.
  • Develop and implement a cohesive content strategy aligned with business objectives to enhance the digital customer journey across all platforms, utilizing data-driven insights to prioritize funnel improvements.
  • Build and lead a cross-functional operating model for content delivery supporting both evergreen and campaign-driven messaging across key customer touchpoints, leveraging performance metrics for continuous refinement.
  • Own the homepage experience across desktop, mobile web, and app, with responsibility for performance, strategy, and execution to drive engagement and conversion.
  • Lead end-to-end content strategy and execution, optimizing click-through rates and engagement to strengthen the marketing and commerce funnel.
  • Oversee digital campaign content strategy, ensuring consistent messaging that supports go-to-market priorities and drives business results.
  • Drive innovation in digital storytelling and engagement strategies, exploring new technologies and channels to elevate customer experience.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in digital content strategy, eCommerce, or marketing with a proven track record of leading content and engagement programs that deliver measurable results.
  • Expertise in digital marketing channels and best practices for messaging strategy across web and app platforms.
  • Proficiency in analytics and optimization tools such as Adobe Analytics, Quantum Metric, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms and familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools and marketing automation.
  • Understanding of emerging content and engagement technologies, including AI, ML, AR/VR.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in digital content strategy, eCommerce, or marketing.
