About the Role

The Director, Patient Affordability Analytics is responsible for leading and innovating data assets and strategies for the creation and measurement of Pfizer's patient affordability and copay programs. The role involves developing analytical strategies and dashboards to support confident decision-making that positively impacts the patient journey. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including Pfizer Digital, Pfizer Patient Services, and others, and ensures initiatives align with Pfizer's SOPs and policies across various therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective coordination among all stakeholders creating a collaborative network with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Seek opportunities to partner with cross-functional teams to improve patient affordability data and analytics platforms.
  • Display and implement knowledge of healthcare industry trends affecting Pfizer's patient affordability program design and implementation.
  • Maintain systems, databases, and records as defined within Pfizer's Copay SOP and Policies.
  • Use complex data modeling, aggregation, and analytics to inform decisions, including data quality, data structures, and business analysis.
  • Analyze, model, and test assumptions about business questions through data analysis tools; present insights visually to guide decision making.
  • Ask business questions to uncover new insights that provide a competitive advantage.
  • Procure, lead, and apply patient affordability data assets to measure programs, innovate solutions, and enhance net sales.
  • Respond to ad hoc data needs of internal partners and take ownership to solve problems.
  • Enable the Patient Affordability Solutions team to use data assets for insights, measurement, and sales enhancement.
  • Set direction and build a centralized data strategy for copay and affordability program data platforms.
  • Develop systematic approaches for data stewardship, quality, and resolution of data issues.
  • Collaborate to integrate data sets across platforms and build a comprehensive view of the customer experience.
  • Support business review meetings with program metrics, impact assessments, and dashboards.
  • Demonstrate forward thinking in data integration, use cases, and application development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in an analytical function such as consulting, market research, data analysis, forecasting, or predictive modeling.
  • Experience analyzing patient/claims data is highly desired.
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical product reimbursement processes for medical and pharmacy products.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and data sets.
  • Expertise in using pharmaceutical and payer claims datasets (e.g., IQVIA LAAD) and copay/affordability data sources (e.g., CoverMyMeds, Relay Health).
  • Experience building financial models to estimate affordability program impacts on gross to net and net sales.
  • Proficiency in analytical models and database manipulation.
  • Experience delivering results in a highly matrixed organization and collaborating across stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics tools like SAS, SQL, Python.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, motivated, enthusiastic, collaborative, and comfortable with ambiguity.

Nice to Have

  • Consulting experience analyzing patient/claims data.
  • Experience with building financial models for sales impact.
  • Experience with data integration and application development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (required).
  • MBA or relevant graduate degree (preferred).
  • 8+ years in an analytical role.

Benefits & Perks

  • Annual base salary ranging from $156,600 to $261,000, with a bonus target of 20% and long-term incentives.
  • Comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with matching, retirement contributions, paid vacation, holidays, personal days, caregiver/parental leave, medical, dental, vision coverage.
  • Hybrid work environment requiring onsite presence 2-3 days per week.
  • Relocation assistance may be available.
  • Additional salary range for Tampa, FL: $141,000 to $235,000.
