Senior Insights & Analytics Editor

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze content performance across platforms to uncover actionable insights that help inform editorial decision-making.
• Develop and deliver regular reports and presentations for the newsroom, translating complex metrics into clear, strategic recommendations.
• Refine dashboards, reports, and KPIs that serve editorial needs.
• Act as a data-driven advisor to editorial teams, proactively identifying opportunities to increase traffic, retention, and user loyalty.
• Contribute to the development and execution of newsroom-wide performance frameworks and editorial goals.
• Stay current with media and analytics industry trends to ensure Business Insider's insights capabilities remain best-in-class.

Requirements

• Experience in analytics, insights, and audience development within a newsroom or media environment.
• Understanding of the media industry, audience engagement, and user-centric metrics.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a bias to action.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into understandable and actionable insights for the newsroom and editorial leadership.
• Proficiency with analytics tools (i.e., Google Analytics, Looker, etc.) and experience with data visualization.
• A strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and journalism.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once.

• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of media industry trends.

• Relevant experience in analytics, insights, or audience development within a media environment.

• Base salary: $85,000 - $90,000 (dependent on relevant expertise).
