The role of Director of Product Management focuses on evolving network touchpoints for seamless physical-to-digital transitions, supporting strategic partnerships, and expanding our mobile and digital wallet presence to meet the needs of digitally savvy consumers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive our vision and roadmap for BHN's secure network and integrations to support physical-to-digital closed and open loop card technology, emphasizing innovation from concept to execution.
  • Leverage existing contacts and support new relationships with key players at major wallet/payment platforms to enhance our mobile offerings and extend network reach.
  • Develop and implement strategies for working with partners and brands across the payment landscape (POS, Terminal, Acquiring, Switch, & Authorizers) to create seamless experiences, focusing on pricing strategies and mutual value maximization.
  • Lead innovation, partnerships, and create network coalitions to evolve physical card sale, security, and usage in conjunction with digital experiences and usability.
  • Employ advanced experimentation techniques to test value propositions, technology, and hypotheses to ensure product resonance with target audiences.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of consumer financial and wallet products to inform product development and enhancement initiatives.
  • Work closely with engineering, marketing, design, and business teams to drive cohesive workstreams toward achieving business and product outcomes.
  • Monitor industry trends, including competitive analyses, and identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record in developing and managing financial card or wallet products, or enabling financial transaction networks through EMV, Terminal/POS, and acquiring/gateways, with understanding of user needs and market trends.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance considerations (PCI, AML, etc.) and security standards (EMVCo, etc.).
  • Demonstrable knowledge in digital financial product experiences, especially with stored value redemption/checkout, and integration into platforms like Apple Wallet and Google Pay.
  • Ability to work within network business models, collaborating with partners and brands on strategies and pricing.
  • Experience in building and evolving product concepts, driving measurable outcomes, and bringing products to market.
  • Strong influencing skills to work across various internal teams and drive initiatives.
  • Ability to anticipate market shifts and adapt strategies accordingly with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate vision and strategy to stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with major digital wallet platforms such as Apple Wallet and Google Pay.
  • Experience in strategic partnership development within the payments industry.
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields; MBA preferred.
  • Extensive experience in financial products, including managing or developing card or wallet products and enabling financial transaction networks.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and security standards such as PCI, AML, EMVCo.
  • Digital financial product experience, especially with stored value and platform integrations.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships and work within network business models.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range for California residents: $184,060.00 to $248,500.00
  • Salary range for Illinois residents: $146,290.00 to $197,500.00
