The role of the Director, Product Marketing for Data Cloud involves driving messaging, launches, awareness, and strategy for Data Cloud's Segmentation & Activation and Data Collaboration/Clean Rooms, building the core Data Cloud narrative, and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead End-to-End Product Launches: Own and drive major product launches for Data Cloud's Segmentation & Activation and Data Collaboration/Clean Rooms, ensuring successful market introduction, positioning/messaging, adoption, and measurable impact against KPIs. Support public relations efforts and contribute to press release content.
  • Own the Marketing Persona Narrative & Messaging: Develop clear, compelling narratives, value propositions, and differentiated positioning and messaging for Data Cloud for Marketing, ensuring it resonates and drives adoption.
  • Drive Sales Enablement & Programs: Collaborate with sales leadership to develop marketing solutions, support sales plays and programs, and build sales training materials and enablement initiatives to fuel pipeline and accelerate deal closure.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs related to Data Cloud features, incorporate new technologies into events, product launches, and demos, and support analyst relations.
  • Oversee Content Strategy & Delivery: Drive creation and delivery of messaging & positioning documents, pitch decks, demo storyboards/videos, webinars, blogs, case studies, and more to amplify Data Cloud messaging globally.
  • Shape Product Strategy: Partner with Data Cloud Product Management to influence and shape product investments addressing customer needs within segmentation, activation, and data collaboration.
  • Confidently deliver compelling presentations to internal and external audiences, including executive leadership, customers, and partners.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing, industry marketing, or corporate marketing.
  • Demonstrable expertise in leading product launches from strategy to execution.
  • Proven ability to craft and communicate compelling messaging and positioning for complex technology products.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present to executive leaders, cross-functional partners, and customers.
  • Ability to create marketing assets such as product demo videos, pitch decks, product data sheets, enablement materials, press releases, and blogs.
  • Experience working with industry analysts (e.g., Gartner, Forrester) and leading briefings to shape industry narratives.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making and meet measurable marketing metrics.
  • Expertise in building strong cross-functional relationships and aligning with global stakeholders.
