About the Role

The Director, TMTT Downstream Marketing is a leadership role responsible for driving the successful commercialization and global expansion of Edwards' Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) portfolio. The role involves developing global marketing strategies, leading campaigns, and managing a high-performing team to address unmet clinical needs in heart valve disease, ultimately helping patients live longer and healthier lives. This position is based at Edwards' corporate headquarters in Irvine, CA, and plays a key part in informing launch strategies and fostering collaboration across functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a key leadership role in development of global marketing strategy, campaigns, and execution, ensuring cross-functional and leadership alignment, roll out plan, and development of metrics to measure success
  • Direct activities with responsibility of developing systems, planning, budgeting, and managing priorities
  • Develop an expert understanding of the global TMTT markets, customers, and patients to strengthen marketing plans and programs
  • Lead strategic global positioning, messaging, and campaign development and execution for new therapy launches
  • Work closely with regional marketing partners to identify opportunities and barriers to growth and develop strategic solutions
  • Foster a collaborative environment by building relationships within global marketing and cross-functional partners such as regional marketing, medical affairs, clinical, R&D, and training
  • Manage and oversee the work of multiple areas, functionalities, scope, and locations with financial budget responsibilities
  • Identify risks, develop, and lead the implementation of complex marketing strategies, including negotiations with internal and external parties for multiple products, campaigns, and initiatives
  • Plan and direct complex marketing activities with large-scale or significant business impact, ensuring successful completion of all deliverables
  • Lead in identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and establishing best practices in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Direct line management responsibilities including talent development aligned with growth strategies and desired department culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and related experience in marketing
  • Demonstrated track record in people management
  • Experience working in the medical device or healthcare industry, preferably cardiovascular

Nice to Have

  • Minimum of 12 years related experience or 10 years with an MBA
  • Previous leadership experience including building and managing high performing teams
  • Ability to provide strategic input to influence business decisions and solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills, including negotiating and relationship management skills
  • Recognized as an expert in own area with specialized depth within the organization
  • Expert understanding of marketing concepts and principles
  • Strong clinical, disease state, and product knowledge relevant to Edwards' products
  • Ability to interact professionally across organizational levels and proactively escalate issues
  • Ability to foster and develop external relationships
  • Comfort managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)

Qualifications

  • Educational background including a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Related experience in marketing
  • Experience in the medical device or healthcare industry, preferably cardiovascular
