About the Role

The Director, Urology Business Development at Boston Scientific will identify and execute strategic acquisitions, investments, and partnerships within the Urology division. Reporting to the Vice President of Venture Capital & Business Development, this role involves working with division leadership and cross-functional teams to assess new markets, evaluate target companies, manage relationships, conduct due diligence, develop deal structures and financial models, and provide actionable recommendations to support the division's strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Urology division's franchises, adjacent opportunities, and strategic goals.
  • Act as the point of contact for outside parties approaching Boston Scientific and coordinate interactions with potential partners, including providing detailed meeting reports and guidance on strategic fit, financial impact, and risks.
  • Identify and coordinate internal resources required to evaluate opportunities and conduct due diligence, managing cross-functional teams from Marketing, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, and other functions.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to develop financial models assessing company valuation and financial returns.
  • Develop and deliver presentations for division and corporate leadership to justify potential partnership opportunities.
  • Lead deal execution, including structuring and negotiating offers and definitive agreements with counterparties.
  • Maintain compliance with quality policies and procedures, demonstrating a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality.

Requirements

  • BS or BA degree.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Marketing, Strategy, or Investment Banking within the healthcare domain, with medical device experience preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • Proven success in leading and closing acquisitions or transactions, with knowledge of valuation methodologies, contract terms, and due diligence best practices.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including market, revenue, and investment models, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into strategic, cohesive business plans.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to create compelling presentations.
  • Ability to positively represent Boston Scientific externally and demonstrate strategic and critical thinking skills.
