About the Role

The Director, US Omnichannel Product Owner plays a key leadership role in the US market, driving the best-in-class omnichannel strategy with the ability to fulfill the US Market OMM vision. This role is responsible for the acceleration and implementation of various omnichannel initiatives, such as NBE and CDP, across the US market. It involves building technical capabilities, partnering with senior leadership, and enabling advanced automation and modeling to optimize customer engagement and brand strategies. The role also focuses on innovation using emerging technologies like GenAI and ML, and leading a team to develop omnichannel capabilities across multiple Business Units including Vaccines, Oncology, and Pharma & Rare Disease.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the acceleration and implementation of omnichannel initiatives such as NBE and CDP throughout the US market.
  • Build technical capabilities and ways of working to enable segmentation, targeting, and omnichannel orchestration.
  • Partner with senior leadership across multiple business units and functions to identify needs and leverage automation and modeling capabilities.
  • Plan and execute optimizations and innovations to the NBE model and Marketing Automation tools.
  • Translate brand-specific customer journeys and engagement strategies into data and algorithms for channel execution.
  • Define and enable a closed-loop insight process to drive optimal customer engagement.
  • Innovate using latest technologies such as GenAI and ML to execute pilots with business impact.
  • Collaborate across verticals to develop new engagement experiences and drive outcomes for brands.
  • Lead the development of the US Market Next Best Engagement, Customer Database Platform, and omnichannel capabilities.
  • Partner with broader teams to execute customer engagement strategies and journeys.
  • Prioritize and deliver a roadmap for NBE, Customer Database Platform, and Marketing Automation tools based on business needs.
  • Forge partnerships with leadership across departments to develop algorithms and enable differentiation.
  • Make strategic decisions regarding investments, priorities, and capability development for technical products.
  • Develop and mentor team members, focusing on skills development and growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Data Science, Business, or a related field; a Master's, Ph.D., or MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, focusing on customer engagement, omnichannel marketing, or commercial operations.
  • Deep technical knowledge of digital marketing platforms including marketing automation tools, customer data platforms, and omnichannel orchestration engines.
  • Proven experience with Life Sciences data sets such as claims data, EHRs, and prescription data.
  • Strong expertise in analytics, data modeling, AI/ML, and translating complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Experience developing and implementing next best engagement models or similar precision-targeting strategies.
  • Leadership and people management skills, including building and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with experience partnering with senior leadership.
  • Experience as a product owner or in a strategic role involving roadmapping, investment decisions, and capability development.
  • Ability to lead pilots using emerging technologies like Generative AI.
  • Understanding of commercial priorities and challenges within different pharmaceutical business units.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a hybrid work environment with at least 3 days per week in the office.
  • Experience with GenAI and emerging AI/ML technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • 10+ years of industry experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors.

  • Salary range of $187,000 to $294,400, based on experience and qualifications.
