About the Role

The Director, Wealth Benchmarks Product Management role is part of the Product Management team overseeing a diverse set of index products, including iconic benchmarks across asset classes such as the S&P 500 and iBoxx fixed income indices. The team sets strategic priorities to drive revenue growth and provides client solutions, insights, and thought leadership within the S&P DJI division. This position involves supporting Wealth Benchmark initiatives globally, focusing on product development, financial monitoring, and operational solutions to clients, with exposure to multiple products and internal teams at S&P Dow Jones Indices, a leading provider of index solutions with a significant global assets under management linked to its indices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute product development strategy, focusing on a suite of indexing solutions designed for Wealth Management.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support new product initiatives and strategic sales efforts.
  • Meet with current and potential clients to understand market needs and gather product innovation ideas.
  • Own tactical execution of the product roadmap including new index development, onboarding new clients, and improving operational processes.
  • Support the business through analysis and content creation for thought leadership materials such as blogs, white papers, and videos.
  • Collaborate with the Research and Design team on index design.
  • Plan and coordinate competing priorities and resources required to deliver on team objectives and key results using an AGILE framework.
  • Identify growth opportunities and contribute towards developing a robust pipeline for expansion of existing indices and index launches.
  • Collaborate across Product Management team members and wider internal stakeholders to support both product and global initiatives.
  • Take direction from senior product management leadership and work closely with other product managers across the organization.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required; master's degree in a relevant field or progress towards a CFA Charter is a plus.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of benchmarks and their role in the investment process, especially within Asset Management and Wealth Management.
  • Familiarity with the Asset Management and Wealth Management landscape, model portfolios, and portfolio theory.
  • Experience working in wealth and/or investment management with a focus on portfolio construction.
  • Self-driven with strong research and innovation skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities and ability to handle a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of delivering high-quality presentations.
  • Ability to interact with sophisticated clients, ask questions, and advise on client solutions.
  • Knowledge of financial packages such as FactSet, Capital IQ, Morningstar, Eikon, is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, influencing others and gaining consensus.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and steep learning curves.

Nice to Have

  • Progress towards a CFA Charter.
  • Knowledge of financial packages such as FactSet, Capital IQ, Morningstar, Eikon.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree or progress towards CFA preferred.
