About the Role

The Disney Programs Digital Content Intern, Spring 2026, is part of the Disney Programs Communications team at Walt Disney World Resort. The team is responsible for storytelling and content creation that highlights the Disney Program participant experience across various platforms, including websites, social media, and internal communications. This internship offers students the opportunity to support creative storytelling, engage with program events, and contribute to building bridges between Disney and its participants through visual content and social media engagement. The role is exclusively for students who are currently participating in or have previously participated in a Disney College Program, with an approximate duration from January 2026 through June 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Helping tell the Disney Programs story through engaging, high-quality visual content for various platforms and audiences, including short- and long-form videos, photography, and social media content.
  • Supporting the culture, values, and mission of Disney Programs through creative storytelling, educational resources, and meaningful engagement across platforms.
  • Ideating, planning, and facilitating shoots, including managing schedules, communicating with talent, and filming and editing final content.
  • Attending program and housing events, trips, and offerings to capture content and highlight the full program experience.
  • Collaborating directly and fostering relationships with key partners to identify storytelling and content creation opportunities.
  • Staying up to date on video trends and best practices, evaluating processes to meet expectations and reach audiences.
  • Managing multiple content and video projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines.
  • Working closely with communications and creative team members to plan, project manage, and produce content, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and quality standards.
  • Maintaining digital asset libraries and photo/video equipment inventory.
  • Supporting program events, including arrivals, learning offerings, and end-of-program capstone events.

Requirements

  • Current or previous participation in the Disney College Program.
  • Bachelor's degree in video production, photography, communications, media studies, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software.
  • Experience shooting and editing video content for web and social media platforms.
  • Experience using social media professionally, specifically YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Outgoing self-starter with a love for people and storytelling.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
  • Builds relationships, shares ideas, and is receptive to feedback.
  • Passion for the cast member/employee experience and supporting a positive program environment.
  • Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree or currently participating in a Disney program.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Fully available for approximately 40 hours per week during the internship.
  • Able to provide own housing in Orlando, FL, and reliable transportation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with videography, photography, and content creation for social media platforms.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous work in video and photography.

Qualifications

  • Junior or Senior year college student preferred.
  • Major or coursework in video production, photography, communications, media studies, or related fields.
