This role involves supporting project activities related to Project Document & Data Management (PDDM), working with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure effective documentation and data processes, and potentially leading smaller project scopes or stepping in for absent leads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in project task force meetings
  • Contribute to, promote, and ensure effective knowledge sharing behaviors in the use of Fluor's knowledge management portals and communities
  • Review work of others for accuracy and timeliness
  • May direct the work activity and training of junior roles
  • May report directly to task force engineering manager
  • Responsible for compliance dictated by client regarding maintenance of related documentation
  • Support project activities related to Project Document & Data Management (PDDM)
  • Support task force objectives and project milestones
  • Work with the process throughout with a team or independently
  • Learn or manage high level processes on projects of varying size
  • Assist in local office process improvements
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or equivalent in applicable field and eight (8) years of related experience, or twelve (12) years of experience without degree
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable statutes and guidelines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
  • Proof of US citizenship

Nice to Have

  • Project related experience in the engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction (EPFC) industry
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with electronic document management systems, relational databases, and internet-based project collaboration systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Leadership skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to adapt to change, work under pressure, and manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills, judgment, and flexibility
  • Knowledge of project management, project baseline documentation, cost, and schedule
  • Experience working with engineering contractor partners, joint venture partners, etc.
  • Understanding of and ability to interpret client specifications
  • Ability to manage internal and external customer document activities
  • Ability to interview candidates for project positions

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree or equivalent in applicable field
  • Eight years of related work experience or twelve years if non-degreed
