Email Marketing Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage creative processes and determine the best internal or external resources to produce assets, communicating clear direction, providing actionable feedback, and setting appropriate expectations on tasks and schedules.
• Design, polish, and formulate assets needed for development, including organizing assets/photos, font libraries, etc.
• Design in Photoshop and XD for web and email assets, and InDesign/Illustrator for print assets.
• Lead brainstorming sessions with the Creative Team.
• Facilitate project kick-offs working closely with project managers to ensure creative briefs are complete.
• Provide mood boards, concept art, storyboards, and style guides to communicate visual direction, references, and guidelines.
• Partner with the Art Director and Communications Director to conceptualize new designs including web assets, social media content, emails, and print collateral.
• Work closely with cross-functional partners (Brand Marketing, Retail Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Merchandise Marketing, etc.) to provide creative solutions and execute designs in a timely manner.
• Create and maintain system organization for electronic files and images through online database and archiving to removable media.
• Support Road Runner Sports culture, quality standards, and deliverables.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience driving email/CRM programs in an omnichannel retail or D2C environment.
• 2+ years of experience leading direct reports.
• Mastery of at least one enterprise ESP/CDP (Zeta preferred) plus hands-on knowledge of HTML/CSS, dynamic scripting, and QA tools (Litmus preferred).
• Proven command of deliverability best practices—SPF, DKIM, DMARC, IP warming, sender reputation monitoring.
• Data-driven mindset with advanced Excel/Sheets skills and familiarity with Google Analytics.
• Track record of hitting or beating channel revenue goals through disciplined testing and campaign management.
• Excellent project-management skills, able to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of video editing and HTML/CSS fundamentals.
• Experience with UX/UI design concepts and mobile-first web design.
• Proficiency in utilizing current UX/UI design concepts and mobile-first web design.
