About the Role

The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for owning and growing the email and SMS programs for AcmeTools.com. This role involves driving digital brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales through creative, data-driven campaigns. The position requires a combination of creative execution and analytical insight, thriving in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. Acme Tools is a family-owned retailer of tools and equipment online, with a start-up like atmosphere that encourages creative strategies and project approaches.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting email & SMS channel strategy for AcmeTools.com
Creating, executing, and supporting the look and feel of email and SMS media across all devices
Closely monitoring email & SMS reporting features such as read rates, click-through rates, bounce rates, A/B testing, and similar metrics to monitor effectiveness of campaigns and brainstorm solutions for increased performance
Working with the eCommerce team to strategize new ways to build and retain email & SMS subscriber lists through website, digital media, and in-store campaigns
Maintaining deadlines to ensure that all stakeholders have sufficient time to review campaigns
Keeping up with the latest developments in email and SMS marketing to ensure campaigns are engaging, compliant, and successful
Maintaining design documentation, style guides, and specifications

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Design, Communications, Marketing or related field OR equivalent working experience
Knowledge and experience designing across multiple digital media and platforms, preferably email & SMS channels
Understanding of branding, style guidelines and following style restrictions; clean design sense
Strong Technology & Adobe Creative Suite experience, including UX design skills
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to use metrics to identify successes and improvements
Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and take initiative
Excellent communication, planning, time management, and follow-through skills
Natural visual thinker ready to grow and take direction from creative leadership

Nice to Have

3-5 years of experience in modern eCommerce digital marketing experience, especially related to email & SMS campaigns
