Email Marketing Strategist- WGU Academy

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Program and report on multiple ongoing and ad hoc marketing email campaigns per month.
• Communicate with stakeholders on requirements and execution, including creating emails, sending test emails, and reviewing each email before the final send.
• Help build out and maintain Engagement Programs in Marketo.
• Maintain a digital and physical library of all outgoing emails from Marketing and other departments.
• Provide monthly performance reports on all email marketing campaigns using software platforms such as Marketo, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, etc.
• Provide campaign reports and strategic direction to requestors and stakeholders.
• Optimize ongoing campaigns and develop new ones based on research and campaign performance data.
• Design and build advanced campaigns including Engagement, Triggers, multi-channel, forms, etc.
• Act as Audience Owner and Subject Matter Expert, understanding the audience and what resonates with them.
• Meet regularly with stakeholders to provide expertise in campaign design.
• Conduct competitor analyses as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 years of experience in the Marketing field.
• Marketo certification.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including proofreading.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• Experience with audience segmentation and email testing practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to pick up new technologies.
• Flexible, proactive, positive attitude.

Nice to Have

• Concise, articulate communicator.
• Bilingual ability.
• Familiarity with HTML and applying it in emails.
