About the Role

Chevron is seeking a strategic, data-savvy Email Strategist to lead the development, delivery, and optimization of our corporate email newsletter program and support broader email and SMS outreach for our advocacy programs. The role involves shaping how the company connects with key audiences through personalized, relevant, and timely communications. Key Responsibilities

  • Own the planning, content coordination, and execution of the weekly corporate email newsletter, personalized by audience segments.
  • Manage and support email and SMS communications for advocacy programs, ensuring they are compelling, compliant, and effective.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow subscriber lists through organic and paid acquisition campaigns.
  • Monitor and improve list health, deliverability, and overall email hygiene using best practices and data insights.
  • Track performance, run A/B tests, and provide insights to continuously optimize message effectiveness.
  • Partner with content creators, designers, and digital teams to ensure alignment with brand and communication goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in email marketing.
  • Proficiency with email marketing platforms, including Marketo.
  • Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, deliverability, and compliance.
  • Experience with SMS platforms and advocacy communications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with paid acquisition channels and delivering quality list growth.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics and optimize campaigns.
  • Collaborative, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects on deadline.
  • Proactiveness, flexibility, teamwork, creativity, and adaptability.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SMS platforms and advocacy communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in email marketing.
