About the Role

ICF Provides advisory services to the energy/utilities industry, assisting organizations in improving performance through strategic planning, financial analysis, and market assessment. The Energy Advisory Team focuses on supporting the transformation of the U.S. power system, helping clients identify investment opportunities, navigate energy markets, and develop decarbonization strategies. The role involves working within project teams on topics such as energy markets, policy, interconnection, transmission, and market impacts, with a focus on renewable integration and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

Perform advanced quantitative and economic analysis of energy and environmental markets using commercial model frameworks.
Collaborate with team to develop and enhance ICF proprietary models and databases.
Evaluate the impact of future market trends and regulations, supporting the development of client strategies to manage change.
Perform analysis for corporate and government client deliverables.
Support sales and client development efforts with market research, proposal development, and thought leadership.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of R, Python, and/or other coding languages.
Ability to work with and understand technical concepts and communicate them to non-technical personnel.
Strong interest in energy economics, finance, energy efficiency analytics, climate change, and policy.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Bachelor's degree in Energy Policy, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Operations Research, Engineering, or related quantitative field.

Nice to Have

Master's degree in Energy Policy, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Operations Research, Engineering, or related quantitative field.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant quantitative field.
Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant field.
