About the Role

The Engineer, DRAM Business Enablement role at Samsung Device Solutions America involves managing customer selection and engagement for DRAM-based memory solutions used in various applications. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer selection of Samsung for DRAM-based memory solutions across diverse applications.
  • Drive engineering engagement to support design-in and qualification processes, including technical program management and customer relationship management.
  • Support technical debugging, problem solving, and verification procedures in collaboration with customers and internal teams.
  • Interact with sales and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment with customer objectives and foster deeper engagement.
  • Support self-qualification activities and understand DRAM SI/PI and timing analysis measurements.
  • Control and follow up on Product Change Notices (PCN) and organize Quarterly Technical Reviews (QTRs), presenting roadmaps and market outlooks.
  • Develop expertise to provide first-line technical or operational issue resolution to ensure closure.
  • Synchronize with Samsung business teams to align technical and business strategies.
  • Manage critical relationships with key customer decision makers.
  • Organize technical communication with customers for problem solving, verification, and improvement activities.
  • Communicate effectively at various management levels.
  • Travel domestically and internationally approximately 10-15% for customer and business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or related Physical Science with 3+ years of experience, or Master's with 1+ years, or PhD with 0+ years of experience.
  • Familiarity with DRAM memory design, architecture, or system architecture.
  • Background in Signal Integrity/Power Integrity (SI/PI) and timing measurements.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, fab processes, and advanced packaging technology.
  • Knowledge of system level operation including RAS, Memory Controller, and memory PHY.
  • Solid experience supporting DRAM memory products and customer-facing technical roles.
  • Prior experience as an Applications, Development, Design, or Validation Engineer, or similar technical role.
  • Customer support experience for DRAM products.
  • Strong communication skills; fluency in Korean is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to change, and approach challenges with curiosity and resilience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience as an Application Engineer or having deep technical interactions with customers and suppliers.
  • Experience in chipset bring-up, debugging, system architecture, or platform validation.
  • Experience supporting datacenter, PC, and consumer DRAM products including DDR, LPDDR, and HBM.
  • Leadership skills for driving customer enablement strategies and debugging activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or related Physical Science with 3+ years of experience.
  • or Master's degree with 1+ years of experience.
  • or PhD with no minimum industry experience.
