About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Create definitions of parts, models, and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
• Impact quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
• Execute standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines, with some latitude to rearrange the sequence based on changing work situations.
• Build and sustain partnerships with adjacent design engineering teams and the supply chain while innovating new solutions for advancing gas turbine technology and related systems.
• Employ engineering judgment to mitigate quality risk and ensure full technical reviews of 3D models with technical experts, with resultant action item completion for higher risk designs.
• Develop standardized documentation on best practices and lessons learned through collaboration with the team.
• Drive a Lean culture approach throughout the team, proposing ideas for continuous improvement in the design and engineering process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related degree from an accredited university or college.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to work onsite in Greenville, SC (occasional hybrid exception possible).
• Basic understanding of solid modeling software and model based definition packages.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Horizontal partnering relationship building skills.
• Demonstrated experience with model based enterprise & application of PMI to 3D models.
• Detail-oriented focus who can execute on multiple projects in parallel.

Nice to Have

• Additional technical knowledge beyond basic understanding.
• Experience with technical field of knowledge related to gas turbines or similar systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
