Engineered Lumber Estimator/Designer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Use design tools and software applications to provide technical services supporting the design and specification of Weyerhaeuser Structural Frame products.
• Produce comprehensive framing layouts for floor, roof, and wall systems.
• Provide design calculations for single structural members.
• Offer design consultation to dealers, builders, general contractors, building inspectors, architects, engineers, sales associates, and owners to deliver innovative framing solutions.

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent construction industry experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Nice to Have

• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints/construction documents.
• Wood framing construction background.
• Working knowledge of CAD and/or estimating applications.
• Certification in structural/architectural drafting.
• Statics, Mechanics, and Materials background.
• Previous Designer or Estimator experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2-year technical degree or equivalent construction industry experience.
