About the Role

The Engineering Leadership Accelerator Co-Op at Tektronix offers a hands-on opportunity for students to explore the intersection of engineering, customer needs, and business impact. Participants will work within one of the AMR region sales teams, supporting real customer engagements, solving technical challenges, and learning how complex systems are brought to market. This role provides a unique view of how technical backgrounds can unlock business-critical value, in a setting that bridges technology and business.

Key Responsibilities

Engage in real customer scenarios to understand how technical conversations influence business decisions.
Support technical sales teams by analyzing technical problems, preparing solution strategies, and identifying key decision drivers.
Shadow customer meetings to gain exposure to product strategy, use cases, and engineering applications.
Develop presentation and business case skills by contributing to internal leadership updates and project reviews.
Work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and marketing.
Contribute to team strategy, business reviews, and regional planning discussions.
Collaborate with other interns and new hires to build connections and leadership skills.

Requirements

Majoring in engineering, physics, chemistry, applied mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
Excellent communication skills and curiosity about how things work and why they matter.
Eager to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to real-world challenges.
Interest in understanding how technology is evaluated, adopted, and deployed by advanced customers.
Open to full-time summer roles and/or part-time during the school year with flexible schedules.

Nice to Have

Experience with technical sales, product management, consulting, or engineering.
Familiarity with AI, energy, aerospace, or academic research markets.
Previous experience in customer engagement or technical problem-solving.

Qualifications

Current enrollment in a relevant technical discipline (engineering, physics, chemistry, applied mathematics).
