Job Description

About the Role

This position is for an ERP Business Systems Analyst based in Rochester Hills, Michigan, within the Corporate Services department of Henry Ford Health. The role involves designing, updating, and analyzing information systems related to business and user needs, with an emphasis on integrating ERP systems with third-party solutions. The candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, including IT teams and business units, to promote efficient business processes and enterprise-wide standardization. The role requires onsite presence and involves collaboration in Agile/Scrum environments, testing, troubleshooting, and occasionally training end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert (SME) in one or more applications' capabilities and features for users, owners, and administrators of solutions.
  • Collaborates with work teams, departments, system leadership, staff, other IT groups, and technology vendors to define needs and facilitate solutions.
  • Provides input into developing and modifying systems to meet client needs and develops business specifications to support these modifications.
  • Creates test scenarios and develops test plans to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design.
  • Assists in analyzing testing results throughout the project.
  • Provides on-call second-level escalation response for client issues and problem tickets.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains integrations between ERP systems and third-party systems.
  • Works closely with FSCM, HRIS, payroll stakeholders to gather integration requirements.
  • Builds and manages integration processes including Boomi processes, connectors, and error-handling logic.
  • Monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes existing integrations for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Ensures integrations adhere to security, compliance, and data governance standards.
  • Collaborates in Agile/Scrum environments and participates in planning and review sessions.
  • Assists senior team members in conducting conference room pilots and demonstrations.
  • Occasionally trains end users.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or two (2) years of college required OR five (5) years of practical work experience in the IT Healthcare realm.
  • Three (3) years of applicable work experience required.
  • Experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience documenting business requirements.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Experience in application programming or application support preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and flat file formats (preferred).
  • Experience/exposure to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK), certification preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Strong knowledge of state-of-the-art software engineering approaches in design, build, test, debugging problems, and ongoing technical support.
  • Ability to articulate examples of workflows and processes associated with software engineering experience.

Qualifications

  • Educational background includes an Associate's Degree or two years of college; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Three years of applicable work experience in IT healthcare.
  • Experience with SDLC and documenting business requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
