About the Role

The Evangelization Coordinator (Part-Time) at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church is responsible for developing and implementing engaging communications that foster spiritual growth and deepen parishioners' understanding of the Catholic faith. This role involves spreading information, fostering connection, and encouraging involvement in parish programs and events, contributing to the church's mission of evangelization.

Key Responsibilities

Create and manage engaging content for the weekly parish bulletin, website, social media channels, and email newsletters, ensuring all communications reflect the parish's mission and values.
Maintain and improve the parish website and social media presence, actively promoting faith and parish programs.
Coordinate internal and external information displays, ensuring they are current and inviting.
Collaborate with staff and ministry leaders to effectively promote their programs and initiatives.
Develop and publish enriching catechetical content that enhances parishioners' understanding of the Catholic faith and encourages deeper involvement.
Photograph parish events to capture and share the life of our community.
Create seasonal printed materials for liturgical feasts and parish events.
Contribute articles to the parish bulletin.
Provide administrative support as requested by the pastor.

Requirements

Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, adhering to the teachings of the Magisterium.
Ability to complete or demonstrate compliance with the Protecting God's Children workshop and submit to criminal background checks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with parishioners and staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher).
Demonstrable experience creating high-quality designs for both digital and print media using Canva.
Comfortable working with digital communication tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work occasional Sunday mornings and weekday evenings for events and activities.

Qualifications

Experience with digital communication tools and content management systems.
Experience creating digital and print media designs using Canva.
