About the Role

Spirit AeroSystems designs and builds aerostructures for both commercial and defense customers. With headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, Spirit operates sites in the U.S., U.K., France, and Malaysia. Key Responsibilities

  • Supports company short and long-term business goals by conducting strategic planning activities.
  • Analyzes, negotiates, and verifies short-term and long-term program plans for the use of space and assets for potential new and modified facilities.
  • Uses business plans and projections to forecast use, occupancy, building utilization, space allocation, and sometimes budgetary estimates to manage real property assets and site cost (U&O) allocations, coordinating with Space Management Focal.
  • Communicates and collaborates with stakeholders to present recommendations, proposals, and solutions.
  • Provides facilities response for planning directives, rate studies, and new business endeavors, including capital and expense cost budget estimates, non-recurring and recurring costs based on program requirements.
  • Develops facilities plans to support customer and contract schedules, interfacing with company organizations, government agencies, and suppliers to meet business requirements and supporting schedules, locations, and rearrangements.
  • Helps review and/or update business policies and procedures related to strategic planning activities.
  • Reviews and updates standard factors used for planning and estimating purposes.
  • Continuously seeks ways to improve internal methods of estimating, collaborating, and communicating.
  • Supports the Global Footprint Strategy Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Ability to identify scope of project.
  • Ability to develop plans and establish priorities.
  • Ability to maintain schedules and track costs.
  • Ability to establish a project budget.
  • Knowledge of city and state regulatory building requirements.
  • Ability to articulate clearly both verbally and in written word.
  • Competent in use of AutoCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.

Nice to Have

  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMBOK).
  • Experienced in Project Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 4 to 6 years' experience or equivalent education and experience.
