About the Role

The Factory Associate Project Manager at ABB is responsible for internal and external customer care for aftermarket factory orders, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective management of the production order cycle and post-delivery support. The role involves coordinating relevant functions within Electrification Services to deliver value-added services with high quality, exceeding customer expectations. The position reports to the Sales Support Manager - Customer Support and is based onsite in Florence, SC. Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the project team allocated to the project; Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
  • Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued; Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
  • Primary sales channel contact for day-to-day operational aspects of project scope; Lead the contract review of new projects and get the definition of the scope previously to the project initiation.
  • Ensuring a clear understanding of the order contractual requirements by the project team; Creating and executing project work plans to meet changing client needs and requirements with various product lines.
  • Coordinating directly with scheduling, operations, quality, and shipping to ensure that the orders are completed and shipped on time; Ensuring factory orders follow best practices and company policies to lead to successful close-out and on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree PLUS minimum 2 years of related experience, OR Associate degree PLUS minimum 4 years related experience, OR HS diploma/GED PLUS minimum 6 years related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, a plus.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment where critical decisions must be made quickly, and teamwork is essential.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
